When the Nazi first began their occupation of the US/CS

20 years after bombing, they arrived in hovering bases of an alien technology (similar to the vessel pictured above.)

Dozens arrived, measuring a half mile in length, filled with soldiers and vehicles. They burrowed into different regions of the US/CS, only to serve as outpost for the Nazi occupation.
